Kyle Gorman West Hive Capital

Kyle Gorman

Managing Partner

Kyle Gorman took his construction management background and his passion for real estate and deal making and created West Hive Capital in 2022-his latest and most exciting venture. Kyle is a serial entrepreneur and has owned and operated various companies in the design, build, development, or retail sectors.  His career has traversed a variety of industry submarkets, including his earlier years as a financial analyst for investment sales, to commercial real estate brokerage, to program management, owner representation, and construction management of ground-up developments and large-scale interior renovations.  Eventually entering the industry of commercial and retail property development.

Kyle has received a nominations for Entrepreneur of the Year and Innovator of the year by OCBJ in 2020.  Inc. Magazine ranked SCGWest No. 307, one of Kyle’s previous companies, in their annual edition of the 5000 fastest growing companies in the United States.

He is an active member of the Entrepreneur Organization – OC Chapter.  He is also a sponsor of the local branch of the charity CHOC, as well as various other community organizations in Orange County.  He holds a General Contractor’s License and a California Real Estate License.

Today, Kyle lives in San Juan Capistrano, CA where he enjoys the beach, hiking, boating, baseball, and trying new restaurants “for work.”

Brandon Lehman

Managing Partner

Brandon is an industry award-winning entrepreneur. His background in engineering and management has proven essential in the development of the internal streamlined systems and processes of the company. Brandon leverages more than 14 years of experience in the development industry to lead the company’s project development and operational efforts.

After retiring from professional BMX Racing in 2004, Brandon earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Arizona State University. Since then, his career has involved numerous facets of the development business throughout a variety of different submarkets. His diverse career has made him a top expert to oversee and manage entire multi-location rollout programs from design conception to completion for national brands.

He is an active participant and sponsor of the local branch of the charity Habitat for Humanity as well as various other charity organizations throughout Orange County and Arizona. He holds a General Contractor’s License in multiple states and is generally involved during the design and construction phases, focused on the goal of Building Better Communities.

Today, Brandon lives in Newport Beach, CA where he enjoys mountain biking, boating, surfing, camping, motorcycles, and the beach.

Nick Potter

Chief Financial Officer

Nick Potter is the Chief Financial Officer of West Hive Capital, where he oversees financial strategy, capital markets, and investor reporting for the firm’s portfolio. With nearly 20 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, banking, and investment management, Nick is responsible for structuring complex transactions, managing institutional relationships, and ensuring the financial health and performance of each project. His background blends extensive capital markets expertise with operational oversight, making him a strategic partner in both deal underwriting and execution.

Before joining West Hive, Nick served as CFO of Barker Pacific Group, where he managed the financial operations of more than 4 million square feet of office, multifamily, and self-storage assets. Over the course of his career, he has originated and structured over $1 billion in financing, managed loan portfolios exceeding $780 million, and resolved more than $90 million in complex loans with strong recovery rates. He is an expert in mezzanine, senior, and structured financing solutions and has built enduring relationships with private equity groups, family offices, and institutional capital providers. Nick holds dual master’s degrees from the University of Southern California and a finance degree from California Polytechnic State University.

Andrew Martinez

Director of Investment Analysis

Andrew Martinez is the Director of Acquisitions at West Hive Capital, where he leads deal sourcing, underwriting, and transaction execution across the firm’s value-add retail portfolio. With more than eight years of experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, development, and asset management, Andrew is responsible for originating opportunities, underwriting complex value-add strategies, and guiding transactions from initial screening through diligence and closing. He has sourced and closed over $750 million in total transaction volume and underwritten more than $1 billion in deal flow across multifamily, retail, industrial, office, hospitality, and mixed-use assets. His background blends institutional-grade financial modeling with hands-on deal execution, making him a strategic partner in both underwriting and closing.

Prior to West Hive, Andrew served as Director of Acquisitions & Development at EQM Real Estate, where he led value-add and opportunistic development strategies and raised equity capital for acquisitions throughout Los Angeles. Earlier, as Senior Acquisitions Associate at Boardwalk Investments Group, he spearheaded the capitalization and debt placement for a $600 million acquisition portfolio structured as a 1031 exchange, executed a $110 million portfolio refinancing, and helped close more than $600 million in trophy coastal retail and recession-resistant assets within a six-month period. He began his career at Crown Realty and Development, where he underwrote over $500 million in industrial and office assets. Andrew is an expert in multi-tier waterfall structuring, ARGUS and Excel modeling, and LOI/PSA negotiation, and has built lasting relationships with brokers, private equity groups, and institutional capital providers. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Whittier College and is a graduate of the USC Ross Minority Program in Real Estate, where he was awarded Best Development Proposal.

Taylor Klauer

Development Coordinator

Taylor’s journey with us began as an intern while she was studying Urban Planning at UC Irvine, where she developed a keen understanding of real estate development and placemaking. Her dedication and impressive work ethic made it an easy decision to bring her on board full-time.

Originally from Santa Cruz, CA, Taylor now calls The Peninsula in Newport Beach home, where she enjoys the coastal lifestyle alongside her roommates and cat—fittingly named Kitty. Beyond her professional skills, Taylor is known for her quick wit, bubbly personality, and ability to brighten up the office environment.

Sangmin Lee

VP of Acquisitions

Sangmin Lee brings over 15 years of experience sourcing, underwriting, and executing transactions across retail, mixed-use, and operating real estate, supported by deep construction, development, and project delivery expertise. Most recently, Sang served as Investment Director at CreditEase, one of the largest wealth managers in Asia, where he led the origination, underwriting, and asset management of U.S. real estate investments across the capital stack, including equity, bridge, and construction financing.

Earlier, Sang managed complex, large-scale build-outs as a Senior Project Manager at WeWork, overseeing design and construction execution across multiple West Coast markets. He later served as a Vice President in Construction & Real Estate Risk Management at Citigroup, where he oversaw construction risk and underwriting for affordable housing lending across the West Coast. In prior roles, Sang was responsible for acquisitions and development of senior housing communities nationwide and led delivery of major headquarters, studio, research, and mixed-use projects.

He began his career in New York working on large-scale ground-up and interior construction projects, providing a technical foundation that informs his execution-driven approach to real estate acquisitions.

Sean Jones

VP of Acquisitions

Sean serves as Vice President of Acquisitions for West Hive Capital and is responsible for sourcing and negotiating deals in California and Arizona. With nearly 20 years as a real estate professional, his experience includes leading the acquisition and development of multifamily and single-family projects as a Principal, as well as various roles in commercial real estate acquisitions and investment sales. Sean also spent several years with the Port of San Diego negotiating complex ground leases for high profile projects around San Diego Bay, including the 1,600-room Gaylord Pacific Hotel and the Rady Shell event venue.

Sean holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate from Arizona State University and is a licensed real estate broker in California. He is an Adjunct Professor of Real Estate at the University of San Diego where he teaches the NAIOP University Challenge undergraduate course, guiding students through real world development case studies in a competition against other universities. Sean lives in San Diego with his wife and three children.

Tiffany Colvert

VP of Acquisitions

Tiffany Colvert brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate, market strategy, and development experience to her role as Vice President of Acquisitions. With a degree in City Planning and Urban Development, she combines a deep understanding of retail markets with expertise in site selection, financial analysis, zoning, entitlements, and governmental approvals.
Throughout her career, Tiffany has negotiated and advised on thousands of commercial lease and sale transactions. Her experience spans nearly every facet of the built environment, from managing federal redevelopment programs and overseeing a multibillion-dollar mixed-use portfolio across multiple states, to operating her own independent brokerage and advising landlords, tenants, and investors nationwide.
Tiffany’s planning background and extensive transaction experience allow her to evaluate opportunities from both a market and development perspective. She brings a disciplined approach to sourcing and underwriting acquisitions, identifying value-creation opportunities, assessing market demand, and navigating the regulatory and physical complexities that can influence a property’s performance.
A four-time CoStar Power Broker, Tiffany was also recognized with Southern Colorado’s Commercial Broker Deal of the Year and the Spirit of the Springs Mayoral Leadership Award. A sought-after voice in her field, she has served as a guest speaker and writer for the Colorado Real Estate Journal and coached commercial brokers nationally on market analysis and deal strategy.
Deeply rooted in the communities she serves, Tiffany has spent over a decade in public service, including appointed roles on the Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority, the Colorado Springs Downtown Review Board, and the El Paso County Community Development Advisory Board. She is a licensed Colorado real estate broker and an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute.
Tiffany lives in Colorado Springs with her husband and son. Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, hiking, spending time outdoors with her family, and cheering from the sidelines at her son’s football games.

Braiden Grover

Development Associate

Braiden Grover is a Development Associate at West Hive Capital, where he sources and underwrites value-add retail acquisitions. He maintains the firm’s broker network, screens opportunities against West Hive’s investment criteria, and builds the market and comp analysis supporting each deal. He began his career in brokerage at Marcus & Millichap and holds a California real estate salesperson license.

Jessica Quinn

Controller

Jessica is an operations & finance professional with over 15 years of experience helping businesses strengthen internal systems and streamline daily workflows. She’s known for her ability to spot errors, uncover hidden inefficiencies, and save clients money through precise financial oversight and practical problem solving.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from CSU Dominguez Hills, choosing to continue her career in the financial sector where her analytical training and collaborative approach shaped her professional path.
She later obtained her California real estate license, allowing her to support clients more fully by navigating both financial operations and real estate compliance with accuracy and confidence. Jessica thrives in roles that blend organization, accuracy, and steady leadership.

Outside of work, she enjoys coaching her daughter’s soccer team, supporting her son in theatre, and practicing yoga.

Jamey Tabata

Construction Manager

Jamey spent over a decade as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Operations Manager and Division Manager with the #1 retail general contractor in California.

His journey started at the U.S. Air Force Academy for undergraduate studies and earning his master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Colorado.

Jamey has dedicated his career to primarily retail and multifamily construction; he has estimated, built, renovated or remodeled hundreds of restaurants and retail facilities and delivered over 10,000 multifamily units, nearly all of them in California. Jamey has supervised the construction of more than $2 billion in retail and multifamily projects.
